Springtime Free Style

22 Mar

I’m still amazed by the warm weather here in Tennessee! I have been prancing about sans cardigan or tights for the last week. On Tuesday I even biked to work at 5 am in just a t-shirt and jeans (and then went to Rock Island and laid out in a swimsuit, eep!)!

Speaking of work, I have to keep my hair pinned back and up (apparently people don’t like hair in their frosting!?) so for the first time in about 3 weeks I wore my hair down and even surprised myself with how long it’s gotten! It’s kind of ridiculous I’m even trying to grow it out since I usually only feel like myself when I have a pixie cut. (Side note: We just finished re-watching Freaks and Geeks so of course I decided to go with an extremely heavy, unflattering middle part just for kicks!)

dress, purse: from Ricki / shoes: gift / scarf, brooch, belt: thrift / tights: target

At least I can always throw on a vintage dress and feel like myself again. Sometimes I think my mom and my friends know my style better than I do. They give me awesome clothes all the time that are just right on the money! I remember looking down at one point during the day and realizing I spent less than $10 on this entire outfit thanks to my friends. Are you easy to shop for? Every now and then my mom gives me something totally out of left field but for the most part I am one lucky gal!

Baking has led to the worst hair days for me. Having my bangs tucked under a handkerchief for 8-9 hours really leaves one with terrible cowlicks later in the day. Woof.

Love these colors. I have a lot of scarves like this that I’ve accumulated that I don’t know how to wear. I love this idea. So cute. I think I’m pretty easy to shop for. Or else my family and friends are just really excellent at gift giving!
